Curtains by Design is a family run business based in the village of Aldford, between Chester and Wrexham. We specialise in handcrafted made-to-measure curtains, blinds and tailor-made soft furnishings, all created in our Chester workshop. Our specialist team bring years of experience and dedication to their craft, and we take great pride in their ability to create such stunning and unique products.

Alternatively, you can choose from our large fabric library featuring the UK’s leading suppliers and select your ideal fabrics, patterns and colours.

Marc brings his passion for customer service by running the sales, while Emma keeps operations flowing smoothly by handling the accounts.

Paula is an experienced curtain maker, specialising in measuring and cutting fabrics to our clients’ exact specifications. Her enduring love for bringing fabrics to life shines through in every product she helps create.

Curtains & Soft Furnishings
A member of the Curtains by Design team for over 20 years, Gill’s prowess and efficiency on the sewing machine is difficult to rival. It is her quality stitching derived from her years of experience that you will find on our products.
Faye
Soft Furnishings & Upholstery
When she’s not helping to make curtains, Faye’s expertise lies in upholstery and intricately crafting beautiful pelmets that reflect her creativity and love for making new and unique products.
Robin
Curtains & Soft Furnishings
Robin joined in early 2025, bringing with her many years of sewing knowledge and love for crafts. While her specialty is in cushion making, Robin has quickly become adept in the curtain and blind making process.
Ciara
Marketing/Admin
Starting in Summer 2025, Ciara is responsible for our marketing process, using her creativity and tech-savvy youthfulness to expand Curtains by Design’s brand reach and promote the quality products created by the team.
